(b. 1993, he/him) I make experimental music through notated composition, installation, and performance. Harmony, tuning, counterpoint, duration, and memory are some things I often think about when making music. The political limitations of art and the necessity to engage in political organizing outside of the artistic sphere is a deeply held belief that also informs my music making.
I was raised in Columbus, Ohio and stayed in my home state to receive a BM in composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2015. I received an MFA at the California Institute of the Arts in 2019, studying under Michael Pisaro-Liu and Wolfgang von Schweinitz. Since 2017, I’ve lived in Los Angeles (Tongva land).
